How to uninstall Screenpresso?
Installation

Regular uninstallation

Screenpresso can be uninstalled like any regular Windows applications:
Open Windows Control Panel then Uninstall a program
Select Screenpresso and click on the button Uninstall

Uninstallation in case of bugs or issues

If regular uninstallation does not work, use our Uninstall-Screenpresso.ps1 script. It finds installed versions of Screenpresso, including Microsoft Store installations, and runs their uninstallers.

Your settings may be removed. The script does not directly delete your capture folders, but it is a good idea to copy any important captures to a safe location before continuing. Some leftover files may remain. Portable copies (Screenpresso used without installation) must be deleted separately.

Run the script step by step

Sign in to the Windows account where you use Screenpresso. Save your work and exit Screenpresso: right-click its icon near the Windows clock (click the small arrow to show hidden icons if needed), then choose Exit.

Click Download Uninstall-Screenpresso.ps1 and save the file. You do not need to open or edit it.

Open File Explorer (press Windows + E) and go to the folder containing the downloaded file, usually Downloads. You can also use Show in folder in your browser's download list.

Click the address bar at the top of File Explorer, type powershell, and press Enter. A PowerShell window opens in that folder.

Copy the entire line below, paste it into the PowerShell window, and press Enter:

powershell.exe -NoProfile -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File ".\Uninstall-Screenpresso.ps1"

This allows the downloaded script to run for this invocation only; it does not permanently change your PowerShell settings.

If Windows asks whether to allow Windows PowerShell to make changes, click Yes. Continue in the new window that opens. Use the same Windows account; if Windows asks for a different administrator account's password, ask your IT support for help.

The script lists the Screenpresso installations it found and their locations. To remove the listed installations, type Y and press Enter at the confirmation question ending in [y/N]. To cancel, just press Enter.

Wait for the script to finish and follow any uninstaller prompts. If it asks you to restart Windows, save your work and restart. If you see Press Enter to close this window, press Enter after reading the result. You can then close the remaining PowerShell window.

If you see an error or a message saying the uninstall was incomplete, copy the message or take a screenshot and send it to Screenpresso support. On a work computer where scripts are blocked by your organization, ask your IT support for help.
